I DID IT!!!!!!!

This puzzle is a nasty little bugger. I could have said other things but I do not wish to offend.

It is called Superstitions and it is by James Christianson. It is 1500 pieces and the hard part is the blue which covers the top most part of this beast.

We tried this rotten thing once before and got discouraged. I can not believe I tried it again. It was on a similar occasion: Elinor was out of town as she is now. I must truely be a glutton for punishment. I did find out some interesting superestitions though like lizard licking. It was thought to be healing. Frankly, I can't see it. Then there was the frog in the mouth which was suppose to take away disease. Of course, you might get warts in your mouth but that is a small price to pay. The one I really like is down in front. There is a guy with a peg leg and right next to him is a rabbit also with a peg leg. Did the rabbit get even? It does give one pause.

A Second Look

Sometimes it is fun to take a second look at something you have already done. I love looking at my flower pictures and seeing something I hadn't noticed before.

Sometimes you wonder what drew your attention the first time. Other times, you wonder why you didn't look hard enought that first time. Flowers are so incredible because their beauty is timeless. What fantastic patterns they have. See how the colors seem to merge together on some of them. What a great artist God is. Thanks for sharing, Lord.

Leavin' On A Jet Plane

Yup...she's off again. I just put her on a plane for Kallispel, MT. Each time, we have to go thru the check list because we have been known for forgetting things like nightgowns, underware, meds, cell phones, . You know...little things like that. But it all works out in the end. She goes and she does return so we must be doing something right.

I enjoy these little rests from her contant energy. Now if I want to get up at a reasonable hour and go to Curves (Ok stop laughing everyone ) I can do so. and if I want to stay up late well, I can do that too. And if I want to eat breakfast at a sensible time like nine then that's ok.

We all have our little quirks. I'm sure I have mine. I know Cashew has hers. It is all part of sharing another's life with them. It could be worse. We actually get along pretty well. So I will enjoy a day or two without the old girl and then I will begin to miss her.............................................................................ALOT

What Was I Thinking?

I am not sure what this picture has to do with the subject but it seemed to fit so......

I did something really crazy last night. I performed in Elinor's Church Ward Talent show. My good friend and fellow domino queen, Carlene Yamashita and I sang "Sentimental Journey" accompanied by Carlene on the ukelele. It wasn't half bad. In fact, we sounded good (not great but good). It turned out to be fun. I'm not sure of my reason for doing this but I am glad I did. My shrink, JJ, would be proud of me. I am not my sister or my mom. Performing isn't a comfort zone for me but I did enjoy it.

Who knew?

How Do I Want To See Myself?

Elinor's visiting teachers stopped by today. These are members of her church who visit every month and kind of give a lesson from their church. I enjoy the teachers. First of all they are our friends:Laura and Frank Larsen, two of the sweetest people around. Second, they always bring a good lesson.

How do I want to see myself? When people look at me, what do I want them to see? Well, I know what I don't want them to see and that is a big blob. I would like them to see the inner me. I would like them to know that I have good things in my heart and that I care about people. I would like them to know that I like helping people. I would like them to see my inner light shinning out and that God is a part of my life.

I am grateful to those who have taken the time to get to know me. I hope they know that I love them and care about them. If they don't, then I hope they are reading this blog.

The Most Welcome Sign Of Spring

Crocus or as I refer to them Croci because you never just see one. I love these little flowers. When I see them, I know that spring is not far away. They are so brave, so cheerful, so bright.

What a wonderful way to start off the happiest time of the year when everything starts anew. Way to go, God!!!!!!!!

What Do You See, Puss-cat?

Her eyes change color. Sometimes they are blue, sometimes red. She often has little eye buggers.

She spends a lot of time looking at me. I wonder what she is thinking? She talks alot too, like she expects me to understand. I wish I did. I would love to know what is so important.

Right now, she is curled up in her tree. She is snoring softly, her eyes are closed. Does she dream? What does she dream of? What an incredible little beasty. Her head is resting on her paw. She seems at peace but if I get up, she will raise her head and watch.

Most furry little friend.
