A Breath Of Spring From Nebraska

Her name is Roxann O'Hare and she is one of Elinor's dearest friends....mine too. She is visiting us from Nebraska and we are having a ball with her. She and Elinor love to create together. Roxann always  brings a project. This year it was aprons. She has been working non-stop on one and it is great. In between, she and Elinor have been journaling. Check Elinor on Facebook and you can see what they have been up to. Roxann is like a shot in the arm for the winter blues..

My Pal Nani

This is one the most intelligent dogs I have ever met. Her name is Nani and she is incredible. Unfortunately, she has not been well of late. It is never easy to say goodbye to a friend but it is
especially difficult to say goodbye to a pet like Nani. She and my cousin, Margaret, have been together for about 16 years, I think and that is a long time. They have had a lot of good adventures. I was lucky to share in one very special adventure: Nani goes to Washington. Nani had just passed
her obedience class and could sit and stay so we climbed in the car and drove to DC and visited some of the major monuments and took pictures. We had Nani visiting the Lincoln Memorial, The Jefferson Memorial, FDR's memorial, the Korean War memorial and the Vietnam Memorial. It was a hoot. We had such a good time we wrote a book. It never got published big time but it was one of the best times I ever had.
I know this is a hard time for Margaret and Nani and all of us who know them and love them. You are a good dog, Nani. Well done, and we will all meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. Safe Journey.
